Four and a Half Stars

There aren’t enough words in the English language to express how perfect this two-handed romantic comedy really is. Wallace (Michael Rinaldi) and Chantry (Tallulah Winkelman) meet at a party and hit it off. Yet, as time passes, it becomes clear that Chantry is more interested in being friends that Wallace, who is intantly smitten. Does this sound like When Harry Met Sally? Perhaps, and that’s just one of the many cinematic references that quietly appear within the brilliantly funny and heartfelt script by Rinaldi and T.J. Dawe. The clever small talk that pops through the play sounds realistic, thanks to the superb performances. Heart-break is rarely this hilarious.
