I can't say anything bad about this simple, funny, admirable show. A young man and woman meet at a party while reading fridge poetry. They become friends and he wants more, but she has a boyfriend whose name she drops into conversation even as she seems to be flirting. Pacing is excellent throughout, from the fast-flowing scene changes to the well-oiled performances to the rhythms of new-friend conversation. Charming Michael Rinaldi captures the frustration of no-return love. Tallulah Winkelman doesn't reveal why women do these things, but her relentlessly upbeat character makes us suspect they relish it.
