Tired Clichés

TJ Dawe won an award for best local production at last year's fringe. This year he's moved to the big city: his latest work is snappy and sharply observed, packed with wry comments about (among other things) traffic lights, minimum-wage jobs, linguistic absurdities, and the classy way that cats vomit. Dawe has great stand-up timing, but this is better than a typical Yuk-Yuk's show: he launches dozens of whimsical ideas, and even if some literally come crashing to Earth, a few will keep orbiting your brain for hours after he's done.
