One Man Star Wars Trilogy
written
and performed by Charles Ross
directed by TJ Dawe
The One Man Star Wars Trilogy enters a galaxy close, close by after success at Toronto's 2002 Fringe Festival.
The One Man Star Wars Trilogy is a one hour, high energy, non-stop blast through the three films: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. The catch is, there is only one cast member.
"Even those who have never seen a stitch of Star Wars will find Charlie Ross' frantic recitation of the first three classic movies entertaining," says Toronto Star.
"A must see for Star Wars fans," says Toronto's NOW Magazine.
Prince George native, Charles Ross, the writer and solo performer, got the idea for the show from spending much of his childhood in a galaxy far, far away. Ross plays all of the characters, recreates the effects, sings the music, flies the ships, and fights both sides of the battles.
Ross is a professional Actor and graduate of the University of Victoria with a BFA in performance, who has worked extensively in British Columbia at Eclectic Circus, Theatre SKAM, Theatre North West, Western Canada Theatre Company, and as a historical interpreter at Barkerville, BC. He has also performed in Nova Scotia for Neptune Theatre, Festival Antigonish, Willpower Theatre and Two Planks and A Passion. In addition, Ross co-produces the One Minute Play Festival in Wells, BC.
The One Man Star Wars Trilogy has toured in 2003 in Castlegar, Nelson, Silverton, Revelstoke, Grand Forks, Kaslo, Vernon, Prince George, Kelowna and Victoria, BC. This tour will be continuing to Orlando, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Victoria and Vancouver.
